Wisconsin Dells 2021!

Every year, our family takes a trip to Wisconsin Dells – waterpark capitol of the world! This year was no exception. For a long time we debated on whether to go or not this year but after we all caught COVID in January, I got vaccinated and Craig got his first vaccine, we decided we were as immune as we were going to be and we booked the trip!

We go to the same hotel every year – Wilderness Resort. We LOVE this hotel. We always go in January/February/March time and we always go during the week to avoid crowds AND it’s only $119 a night! We even used a BLAST package/promo code and we got tons of free arcade credit and free pizza and free Fun Passes! I could go into all the details but I’ll link to their website if you want to check it out yourself. I know many other people who also take their families to Wilderness and it is their favorite resort as well.

Growing up, many years we went to a waterpark over Christmas break and I so cherish those memories and couldn’t wait to make those memories with my own family!

Gannon was SO FUNNY – a man of many faces! He was in a goody mood the whole trip and had us constantly giggling. However, on the second morning Gannon was having some pretty bad bowel issues so he stayed in the hotel room with Craig while Carver and I checked out the outdoor (yes, outdoor pool in Wisconsin in March!) pool and had some bonding time.

The boys are more and more independent every year – while we stayed close at all times, these two were like FISH! We couldn’t keep them out of the water!

We loved our pizza delivered poolside – this was part of the BLAST promo package! It was really good pizza from Klondike Pizza Kitchen and even better – it was FREE! We got 2 free large 2 topping pizzas delivered to our table!

The boys loved the arcade credits – Carver won a ring pop and Gannon won a laffy taffy. They also have INDOOR GO CARTS which we did last year and that was so fun! A free pass for go carts was also included in our BLAST package but we didn’t get to it this year because I woke up on Thursday morning pretty miserable with what I think is a sinus infection 🙁 I’ll head into the doctor tomorrow (today) and get it checked out. We were all pooped so we didn’t get to use our fun pass but I was just amazed with all of the free goodies they included in our package!

One more Wisconsin Dells trip in the books! Can’t wait for next year! Maybe we will be able to take some of the cousins with next time! Also – super fun news – my braces will be OFF by April 1st! I’m so excited! Just three more trips to Lacrosse and I will be brace free after 18 months!!! If you can see in the pictures, she asked what color I wanted for my chains – she jokingly mentioned she there was a GROWN WOMAN wearing HOT PINK BRACES and HOW APPALLING was that?! So guess what color I picked? Hot pink.

Be weird ya’ll 🙂

It looks like you had a great trip! I hope your sinus issues are easily dealt with!

I hope that braces woman learned something about not judging what color chains someone chooses! I’m 59 years old and I would see NOTHING wrong with any color I wanted to choose. It’s a temporary thing — people should have fun with it and go with whatever they want! 🙂

So much fun with family, building memories!! Sorry you and Gannon didn’t get to do everything, but one-on-one time for each of you with a kiddo was probably awesome!! Hope you and Gannon are back to “great” in no time! I got to have braces twice…the first time in junior high school with metal bands that went around all my teeth. The second time was in my mid-thirties (and during my third pregnancy) after 2 TMJ bi-lateral surgeries and I had my upper jaw broken while I had them on. With the second time around, I had what I called the Golden Gate Bridge of rubber bands across my front teeth (up to 5 at one time). My mom hated that I used colorful rubber bands…I didn’t stop!!
