Life lately has been pretty wild but I’m thrilled to announce we had a pretty normal-ish weekend!

First of all, I’ll update on Gannon because I know you’re dying to know. Ritz crackers have been a hit! So has applesauce, soft cookies (thanks Julie for sending us a box of cookies!), popsicles, and cheeto puffs have all been going well! He still needs some tube feeds just to fill in the nutrition gaps, he’s already lost so much weight but we are down to about 4 cans per day from 6 cans per day.

We’ve also mostly weaned off of pain medications INCLUDING tylenol and ibuprofen! He just woke up on Saturday and pretty much refused to let me give him anything in his “tubie” and I said that was fine, but he needed to start taking things by mouth. Saturday went great, Sunday needed some more prompting.

Carver, our poor Carver has been left in the dust the past few weeks. Granted he’s gotten extra love from Grandma Jo, Uncle Karl, and some dear family friends who had him for a sleepover and sledding last weekend, but on the home front, he’s been the least of our worries between Gannon and Anders.

We decided to take Carver out on a date. We went to the new bowling alley in Decorah and it was SO FUN! They have an arcade, an awesome restaurant, and bowling! We had so much fun and Carver desperately needed the 1:1 time! Gannon had a blast with our favorite “babysitters” – I put that in quotes because they are more like family to us – at home. A great night was had by all!

One more thought before I go – Can you believe how much Anders looks like Carver? Here’s a side by side comparison:

I will be shipping all Etsy orders out and they will leave Waucoma on Monday. So many of you flooded my shop while Gannon was in the hospital with sweet notes of “don’t rush this order!” That seriously warmed my heart SO MUCH! Thank you <3 I’m excited to get these out the door and take inventory of what I have as we begin the new year!
