Carver is in 4 year old preschool! Carver is actually 5 years old. Iowa has a cut off of September 15th when determining if kids can go to school or which grade they are in. Carver was born on September 16th at 1:04 am so he missed the Kindergarten cut off by an hour and 4 minutes. He’s most likely the oldest in his class but I wouldn’t have sent him to be the youngest in his class either so all is well.
We absolutely love Carver’s preschool teacher. He had her for 3 year old preschool as well. Every week they have a new “Trojan of the Week.” This week the student can bring their favorite book, pictures of them and their family, their favorite show and tell item, and they create a little craft to tell their classmates more about themselves. My favorite part of this project is that the family can create a video to share with his class.
I LOVE editing videos, I’ve been editing videos since I was in 8th grade and I’ve done a lot of work for mom and her youtube channel as well. Well, I took this assignment pretty seriously. Here is Carver’s video!
Carver sat with me in bed late one night and helped me edit and create voiceovers. He had fun sharing a little slice of life with his class mates and OH Y GOSH what a cute keep sake! I plan on making videos like this as they grow up!
Anywho, that’s all I have for today folks! Thanks for watching/reading!

OMG the video is fabulous! Good job Carver and Mom 🙂
Wishing ya’ll a fabulous week.
Thank you. That was really cute and a great project for the class.
Loved the video!
What a wonderful video of Carver and his life. It is well done and Carver you did a great job telling us about your town and all the people in your family that you love.
What a great way for classmates to learn about each other!! Definitely a keepsake for the years – maybe to be played at his wedding reception when you edit them all together!!
Love the idea of videos for your own memories and sharing with others…great job!
I love the video! He did such a good job and it’s such a sweet keepsake. My son is 5 and in 4 year old preschool as well. He’s not THAT close to the Sept 15th cutoff, but his birthday is at the end of August, so he would have been probably the youngest in his class had we not chosen to keep him back. He’s thriving in preschool being the oldest!☺
Great video. My oldest son was born 9/14; our cutoff was 9/15. Also, a farming community; so he went early at 4 in August. He was (is) smart. Unfortunately, he was immature. Wish they would have held him back a year when we moved to a different town. He struggled too much being so much younger than kids in a non-farming community.
Loved the video!
Oh my what a wonderful video!! So much fun to watch Carver grow. Thanks so much for sharing!
Fantastic video. Thanks for sharing. Carver is adorable!!
That video deserves an Oscar. So well done and honest. I read your mom’s blog daily so I feel like I
know your family intimately. Thanks for sharing.
