This n’ That

I think I left you last week after my bank account got hacked, our laundry room ceiling was leaking, and Gannon threw a wrench at our TV and broke it. If you missed out on that lovely blog post, check it out here.

I’m on a wild work stretch right now and I ended up having to stay in town on Friday because we got a huge snow storm during the day. My hospital sponsors hotel rooms for staff if the weather is bad which is really convenient. Even the 3 miles or so to work was ROUGH. Here was my car:

The drive home on Saturday morning was also pretty rough but then Craig called and said Gannon started throwing up. UGH! We weren’t too surprised because if you remember Carver was sick earlier in the week. I got home as soon as I could and sent Craig off to work. Saturday night was nice, we all hung out, got take out food, watched figure skating (our favorite pass time lately) and then that reminded me of one of my favorite movies – Ice Castles! Have you seen it? We watched it too and I just LOVE that movie – it wasn’t filmed in Iowa but the main character – Lexie “lived” in Waverly, Iowa which is about an hour from my house.

Gannon was feeling better pretty much as soon as he was done throwing up on Saturday which was a relief. Sunday was pretty wild, Craig had to work, he had to drive to his parents and help move furniture, then he had to do chores, I woke up just in time to make supper and hand off the kiddos before work. Not much of a relaxing day for us. This week is no different, I’m still on a wild work schedule and we’ve got something going on every day. Hoping we all can stay healthy enough to get through the week. Next week I’ll have 4 days in a row off. Hopefully we can all relax and take a breather from this whirlwind of a month!

*Update* Gannon started throwing up again on Monday morning so Craig and I had to split the day – I didn’t get to bed until 11 between night shifts and he had to come home at 2 to cover the afternoon so I could sleep. We are praying that everyone can get healthy soon!

See ya tomorrow

Absolutely love Ice Castles!! Poor Gannon…doesn’t make it easier for you with your slam schedule AND your mom not being able to help out with the boys. Lousy timing, but I know y’all will figure it out…while you and Craig get shorted on sleep! So glad you weren’t driving home in all that snow!

How nice that the hospital sponsors room when the weather is bad, nice benefit. I’m sorry Gannon is sick again, hope no one else gets it and you all survive the week ahead.
