Thanks for checking back in on the Friedman Fam! As you recall, we are still in quarantine as we tested positive for COVID last week. We’ve been getting a TON of family time in!
I’ve been DEEP CLEANING and when I say DEEP CLEAN, I mean it. That also means that Gannon got rid of his high chair! Here he is, his first meal in his big boy chair! Because Gannon got his picture taken, Carver needed his picture taken too!
Uncle Karl dropped off a meal for us on our door step, beverages included and he left us a sweet little note:

Carver has been connecting with his classroom every day on zoom! He loves it and I love that his teacher works so hard to include him even when he’s at home. He does get to go back to school next Thursday and we are all so excited!

It is always so satisfying when both boys are bathed, the house is clean, and we can relax with nap time. Today I’ve been washing all the blankets, sheets, pillows, laundry and couch cushions.

Craig has been back to work for a few hours each day, yesterday was a full day but today he’s home by 3 and snoozing on the couch. He’s feeling pretty winded today and gets short of breath easily. We are keeping a close eye on him, he may end up in the doctor just yet. I feel pretty good, Carver and Gannon are a chorus of coughing all through the night though.
I asked Carver if he wanted to hold Gannon and I placed Gannon on his lap – HA! They are getting to be about the same size – Gannon in 3T and Carver in 4T so they are getting closer every day – maybe soon they will be in the same size! That would be nice – just ONE batch of laundry to sort? Wishful thinking.

Anyway, as far as deep cleaning goes, I’ve tackled the kitchen, the laundry room, today was the toy room, the living room and ALL the toys.

It feels so good to clean out and start fresh – I listened to a podcast about creating a welcoming home – at first I was like *eye roll* but it was a GREAT podcast! Here’s a link to it if you’d like to listen:

I’m clearing out and letting the room BREATHE! Creating lots of natural light and just creating an open airy space!
Anywho, that’s what I’m up to! 6 more days until we are unleashed back into the real world! Taste and smell are still gone 🙁 I hope that comes back soon!
So happy to hear you’re all doing better. Hope Craig is feeling like himself again. Good luck with getting the boys over their coughs. I hope your taste returns before long too. Being released from quarantine I’m sure will help . Thanks for keeping us up to date on how you’re feeling. I’m sure it feels good to have done so much cleaning up!
Wow, you are a whirlwind of energy. I’m tired just reading about all the deep cleaning your getting done. I hope takes it easy for a few days given he has asthma, glad your keeping an extra eye on him. Gannon and Carver sure are getting lots of brotherly time in and the pictures are adorable of them. How nice of Carver teacher to include him with on line class time. It must be a really strange year for both teachers and students with the new norm they ae living with. Take care of your self, we don’t want you to relapse from over doing it to soon. Yea for Karl!
Happy you are all doing better. I am sure you are watching those lungs. One thing about no taste, is less temptation to eat junk food. However, I know I would really miss that sensation. Enjoy the time with your sweet family.
Impressive your energy level is already this high. Do be kind to yourself allow rest.
Always love the pics, the boys and you/Craig. Enjoy this time……you’ll never get it back!
I was talking to a nurse who works in oncology yesterday, she said she is 5 weeks out with COVID. She is back to work but still no taste or smell, but her husbands tasting and smelling has returned. Obviously no hard rules. I pray your recovery and the families will be soon.
Glad you are all improving. Craig needs to be mindful that he has been sick and will have limited energy for a while. Thank goodness it’s not planting or harvest time!!! He doesn’t have to push it quite so hard! The older you get, the longer it takes to recover!! Pneumonia or the flu take me at least 3 months to recover from!!! You certainly have the energy of youth!!! Enjoy your family time! Hard to believe the boys are almost the same size, but it certainly makes playing together safer and more fun! So glad Carver is having fun at school remotely and that his teacher includes him into the classroom doings – good on her!!
