I received an amazing gift this Christmas from my mom. She made me this quilt out of men’s shirt fabric! It’s black and white and grey, it matches our living room perfectly and I’m snuggled up with it right now as I write this.
I can honestly say I’ve never purchased a bed spread or comforter before in my life. I’ve been so fortunate that mom has made us each many quilts throughout the years that are cozier than any bed spread or throw blanket you can buy in the store!
Mom was kind of funny about it, she says she thought it was a lame gift. Can you imagine? Of course I love it! She says she has heard of people getting “too many quilts” from the quilters in their lives! No way! Not me! I can always take another 🙂
Carver and I were testing out the snuggle-abiliy of the quilt and it’s a 10/10. It was for sure my favorite present of 2020. Short and sweet blog post but I just wanted to share it with you. What was your favorite gift this year?

Your quilt is so amazing. It looks so snuggly. Your mom is so awesome. I agree with you, one can never have too many quilts. I have a couple quilts my grandmother made but they are too thin to use anymore plus they need repair. I would love to have one of your mom’s quilts. I sew and try to quilt. I really love that quilt – it makes me want to start collecting shirts! My favorite gift this year is a puzzle that my husband had made for me (and one for my mom) – it’s a picture of the four quilts that I designed around my first fabric line! So cool.

I agree with you, its a wonderful gift and you are blessed that she keeps giving them to you. Its a great pattern and I love how all those greys work with each other. My husband gave me the cutest dancing Christmas tree (from the dollar store) and then he bought two lighted red noses for us to wear for when we did face time with our adult children who live in other states. They were perfect and oh so fun given the year we have had. I also got a nice pair of earrings and 2 puzzles. What a year it has been.
