Monday Night Check – in

Hey All! Long time no talk! I’m so so excited to be writing this blog post. The on-call Gods are smiling upon me (even if only for the fist half of my shift) and I’m at home working on this blog post. Craig is at his fire meeting. I’m killing some time before I can logically put the boys to bed by writing this blog post.

It has been a MONTH ya’ll. Like honestly, it feels like yesterday it was April and I wasn’t working enough hours because the hospital was so empty and I just woke up, it’s the middle of June, I’m somehow a year older and just like, life has been happening to me for the past two months and I’ve just been holding on as tight as I can until TODAY. Until next Sunday night I have two things on the calendar: Family Pictures on Wednesday and an overnight shift on Thursday. Summer has FINALLY begun.

If you recall, we had a wild May with tons of major unexpected bills like new brakes and tires on my car, a new furnace, a big tax bill, and we’ve just been drifting and floating along hoping that we would pull through alright which meant picking up a ton of extra shifts, and making sacrifices to stay out of debt and while we aren’t out of the woods, the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter. Not to mention, Craig is actually on a regular schedule and the rush of busy season has subsided.

Not to mention, that’s right around the time I launched my Etsy shop – I just hit 206 sales and I cannot believe it. So I’m so grateful but also so exhausted and feeling a little like I don’t know what to do with all this time and also like this deep knowing of – I don’t want to do that again any time soon.

It hasn’t been all work and no play though, we’ve gotten some pool time in before it sprung a leak and is unusable for the rest of the summer. Long enough to show off my new red bikini from Peachy Keen swimwear because EVERY body is a bikini body!

Carver is a little fish this Summer which reminds me I need to get the boys signed up for swimming lessons!

I enjoyed some time with my sisters at a local vendor market, the Market at the White barns and I got this super awesome hat – mom saw it and said “You need this hat!” Soooo $26 later and (maybe a few Watermelon refreshers from the Market’s bar) this hat came home with me and I love it!

The boys are OBSESSED with playing what Gannon calls “B-Ball” (baseball) in the yard. We’ve had some fun Summer nights playing catch and frisbee and having a few drinks on the back porch!

Anywho, PICTURE OVERLOAD! Wowza, it’s been awhile since I’ve blogged! That’s usually what would be like 5 blog posts mashed into one! I appreciate your patience and for still checking back with me even though I’ve been MIA! Hopefully I’ve got a little extra time this week and I’ll check in again later! Thanks for reading!

Get another pool! You had so much fun in yours last summer. You will not regret it.
