I don’t have anything that spectacular to tell you about so I’ll recap the weekend and let you in on a little this n’ that blog post!
Mom and I went shopping on Saturday morning to the Amish to get groceries at the discount grocery store, hit up our favorite bakery, and go to our favorite shops in Sumner, IA.

Here is a picture with mum and her mums. They are only $10 when you buy from the Amish! You can read more about our adventure on my mom’s blog here:
While at the discount grocery store, I stocked up on snacks for the boys and for Craig as he starts his long days in the field. This particular picture looks a bit more on the unhealthy side but I scored plenty of health bars and whole grain/gluten free snack too! It’s all about balance right? 😉

When we stopped at my favorite little store in Sumner – Makers Market – I got this adorable little coat rack that fits perfectly in our kitchen! Now that Carver is in preschool we need to be a bit more organized about taking care of the coats and the shoes. I’d been looking for a nice coat rack for so long and this one is perfect!

The boys took their very first bath in the new tub! I can’t wait to finish the remodel – like really actually finish it to show you the before and after pictures! The plumbers just came to finish up last Friday. There’s some touch up to do – texturizing, caulking, painting, trim etc. overall we are really happy with the finished product!

We had a bonfire at our house on Saturday night – we mostly spent the whole time chasing Gannon and trying to keep our fearless 18 month old out of the flames. We roasted marshmallows and had s’mores that the boys refused to try. Later that night we got some nasty storms.

Gannon and Carver have different personalities and so their clothing isn’t quite the same either. I scored big time at a garage sale a few weeks ago! Check out these adorable clothes! These fit Gannon’s personality a little better.

Overall, it was a great weekend. My shoulder pain really put a damper on things – I’m pretty sore from my bike accident and I imagine I’ll end up in the doctor on Tuesday to get my shoulder looked at.

Carver was all snuggled up with one of my favorite vintage quilts the other night – I think it just might get promoted to a TV blanket now!

With that being said, I hope you have a fabulous Labor day! Craig and I both work (typical) so have an extra drink for us if you are doing something fun today!

Great bargain hunting! Love the coat rack for the boys to do their own “work”. Great life lessons. I am thrilled for you on the boys clothing! So much $$ saved buying gently used especially while your squirmy worms are growing constantly 🙂
Hope ya’ll have a terrific week!
