It’s been a minute! Hello friends! Wanted to drop in and let you know what I’ve been up to!
I’ve actually been home – my work schedule is FABULOUS this December so I’m well rested and my shifts are well spaced out. I’ve been working on wrapping up some Christmas details, we’ve been watching lots of Christmas movies. I had never fully watched The Grinch or National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation prior to this weekend! Gannon LOVES to watch “the wench!” HA!
We had some super weird weather in Iowa, it was up to 70 degrees on Wednesday which brought some pretty serious severe storms to our area. A town I drive by to get to work was totally torn apart. It was super weird when the boys spent the day playing outside and Carver had bare feet and shorts in DECEMBER! They played so long and so hard – right through nap time – Gannon fell asleep halfway standing/halfway laying down on the couch.
I’ve been working out at least every other day, I’ve found I really like yoga! Carver has been doing yoga with me (which is hilarious) and it’s a fun thing we can do together. Craig and Carver have been working hard on “school work.” My mom found a Kindergarten work book at the used store and they are diligent about working through it every night while Gannon works on his ABC puzzle.
Honestly, I’ve seriously just been enjoying my time at home and my time with my family. I fell in love with bloody mary’s. We got our family pictures taken, picked up my guitar again, deep cleaned my living room, hung out with the nieces and nephews, given into my brother’s persistent board game obsession, discovered that underneath our God awful orange carpet in our bedroom is beautiful wooden floors, caught up with Craig, and just have been loving life! That’s what I’ve been up to!
Off to start this crazy week – as you’re reading this I’m probably getting Carver ready for his church Christmas program – he has ONE LINE – “The child has been born!” and I’m really excited to see him rock it! Craig’s parents and grandparents are coming over for dinner afterwards and then I’m off until Wednesday/Thursday night! It’s a pretty easy going week and I’m super excited to enjoy our time with family!
I’d love to hear your holiday plans in the comments! š

YEA for a sane schedule and the time to do what you enjoy in the moment. I’m so glad ya’ll are safe from those awful storms.
Merry Christmas to you, your family and the entire Kramer clan š
December is sounding like a perfect month, a good balance between work and life. How nice to find wood floors under the carpet, Yea!. It sounds like Craig has been home to help out with the boys and getting some school stuff done, nice that his days are less hectic also. Enjoy the family time, the guitar and yoga time. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
