Carver is becoming more difficult to entertain as the Midwest winter rolls on…
I’m trying to cut back on screen time although he loves watching YouTube videos of boys playing with Legos. He threw a fit the other day when I turn the TV off and told him that he had to take a break from TV and find something creative to do.
He was very upset so I had to get extra creative and pull out a game that we haven’t played before.
Carver was actually given this game when he was just a year old. It has sat on his shelf in his room for so long and every night before bed he would ask if he could play the fish game and I always said “Yep we can do that tomorrow!”
While he was throwing a temper tantrum on the floor in the living room I snuck upstairs and got this game.

I used to play it all the time when I was a kid and my mom did in-home daycare from the day I was in kindergarten all the way up until I was in eighth grader.
Carver and I made a game out of putting the batteries in and using our tools to open the battery pack and put it in.
The game has a little switch that you turn on in the fish go around and around and open and close their mouth while carver “goes fishing.”

As you can tell he absolutely loved it! I snatched a few pictures because I thought it would be a super fun game for a grandfather and his grandson to play together when it’s too cold to go fishing!

Carver is also very excited to announce we FINALLY found a swing set! Grandma Joey (My mom) got Carver a money jar for his birthday. He’s been saving his money to buy a swing set! We finally found one we will be purchasing on the Facebook marketplace! Check it out!

Now we just have to wait for the snow to melt to take it apart and haul it home.
I don’t have much more than that for blog post today and I’m sorry about that. We had a really busy weekend and I haven’t got the chance to get caught up on blog posts.
Monday begins a new work week and plenty of other drama going on in the Friedman house which I will update you on more later this week.
Thanks for reading! Stop back tomorrow morning for another post that’s hopefully more interesting than this one was!
If you want to buy the fishing game you can follow my link here: https://amzn.to/2TmKQZ6
Carver looks pretty happy playing the fishing game and I must admit it looks like fun. I think he is going to really enjoy his swing set when it get assembled in his back yard. Don’t forget to take a minute or two for yourself this week even if it is hectic.
Carver really looks so happy ! Looks like a great swing set although you still seem to be having some problems with pictures. Try to find a few Kalissa minutes today!
I thought of you yesterday–I teach at a University, and yesterday was the first day of classes. One of my writing classes (22 students) has 10 nursing students! If I should become ill during classes, I feel very safe. 🙂

I would love it if you would tell them about my blog!!! ❤️❤️
Carver’s learning that if you save your money you can get something you really, really want. An excellent lesson, and that’s a pretty cool swing set. What I really want is that screened in porch above the patio on that house in the right background! 🙂
Looks like a great swing set and he learned how to save and pay cash for what he wants!! Grand slam right there!! And you have a new nephew!! Y’all need to start producing girls…they are way out-numbered by the boys!!
