Friedman Family update!
Gannon has been vomit free for 4 days now as we are tapering off of nausea meds. I so hope that rough patch is over now.
I’ve been working on a wild work stretch this last weekend so I’m thankful to be home and snuggled with the boys for the rest of the week.
Craig and I are actually going on a DATE on Friday night! I’m so excited! I’m not sure where we are going yet but there are a few new restaurants we want to try. Craig is a huge BBQ fan especially since we watch the American BBQ Showdown on Netflix so we will probably end up at a BBQ restaurant.
The boys have been doing this really strange thing. So growing up we had cheesy wheezys. A cheesy wheezy is a tortilla shell with shredded cheese and then microwaved and rolled up.
Gannon calls them “hot” because I always tell him to be careful because they are HOT after the microwave. He throws a huge fit every time I microwave them – I think it’s so funny when kids do that. Carver used to throw a fit when I warmed up his waffles too. Must be a two year old thing.
The weird part is, every time I make them a cheesy wheezy, they have to go in the living room and they do this:
It’s only when I make cheesy wheezy’s that they feel the need to stand on furniture. What funny kiddos.
Craig has been so committed to reading books to the boys. Every Tuesday when he comes home from work, he immediately gets the new library book out of Carver’s bag and wrangles the boys to read it together. Carver has library at school every Tuesday and just loves it. It’s a really sweet gesture and has become a ritual for us.

Speaking of Carver, he’s working hard on his Valentines for his classmates. He picked out Cars sticker Valentines and wrote his name on every one! He worked really hard on it. His party is on Friday and he’s pretty excited.

Gannon is going through withdrawls – he throws a FIT when we give him his big boy cup – he wants his sippy cup with the soft lid that he likes to chew on. We are so mean.

Anyway, that is the Friedman Fam in a nutshell! Hope you all have a great day! Thanks for reading!

Reading to kids is important and Dad reading to kids is outstanding! Iread to our kids every night before bed, even in elementary school. When I was gone Dad read to them and he would take one of the books and read it with wrong words and different things. I almost be a came a regular thing that he had to read that certain book because they gave it to him! Even though they’re 46-36 I’ll bet they could tell me the name of the book
Good work Freidman family and good stuff planning a date night!
Glad Gannon is getting better…hope that continues after the meds are stopped. Love the ritual of Craig reading to the boys – perfect father-son time!! Yay for time home with the boys – y’all need that. Stay healthy!
Any time our son didn’t have to work nights he read to the kids. Two kids, two books each, so four books before bed. I’m sure they miss that now that he is gone.
