Friedman Family Update – March 2023

Well, well, well. I think the last bog post update I gave about the Friedman family was before Valentines day! I can’t believe it’s been that long.

Honestly, I don’t have a good excuse for not posting other than I wasn’t feeling that inspired to share. march is usually a blah month for me. I’ve been trying to be more intentional with the fam, working on addition cards with Carver, playing little Legos with Gannon, soaking in every moment of baby giggles with Anders, and spending time with Craig before he is in the field and planting in about a month from now! So here’s the update:

Carver: This kiddo is ALL ABOUT MATH! The number one question in our house is “Mom, can you ask me some math problems?” He loves addition and subtraction and loves questions like “If Dad has 40 cows and has already treated 25 of them, how many need to be treated yet?” We have his conferences tomorrow and are excited to hear about his progress!

Gannon: I think it’s safe to say Gannon is almost completely back to his goofy self since his hospitalization in December after his tonsils and adenoids came out. He is all about army guys, camo, guns, and is obsessed with black holes. He woke me up at 0530 yesterday (thanks Daylight savings) and told me, “Mom, I wish we had an earthquake and a black hole would come in ours living room and then I would send the Enderman in it.” (Enderman is an evil character on Minecraft) He’s starting Occupational Therapy when he is off on Wednesdays, that’s a story for another blog post.

Anders: This little dude is moving and a grooving. He’s 18 lbs and 4 ounces now. He had a double ear infection with a ruptured ear drum on Valentines day and is AGAIN on antibiotics for yet another ear infection! In true Friedman boy fashion, he is trending towards tubes before he turns one! He will be 6 months in about a week from now, he has one tooth, and is still the happiest baby around.

Craig: We got a new exercise bike on Valentines Day and we’ve had some fun family work out sessions. It’s a Bowflex Volocore bike so it actually detaches from the frame and leans/moves/rides like a real bike. We are gearing up for mountain bike season over here. That’s been fun. It’s been so lovely to have him working semi-normal hours the past few months but April isn’t too far away and with it comes Craig’s time in the planter.

Me: Well I’ve got some BIG news to share but I’m not quite ready to yet so stay tuned 🙂

I always love to see pictures of the boys. Anders has beautiful hair now too. You all look happy and that’s what life is about.

Nice to have everything chugging along with few hiccups!! Good on Carver and his math obsession!! Love the way you are doing the math questions! Glad Gannon is back to his old self! Poor Anders…ear infections are no fun. I never had to deal with tubes…is it genetic? Do your nieces or nephews have the same issues?? Nice to have tubes available!! As yes, April begins the season of 6-7 day weeks, with a few of those being 14 hours or more. Home after dark (maybe) for shower, dinner and bed. All the way through September/October. Hubs owns a farm implement business as well as living on a farm.
