Friedman Fam Update – PART ONE!

Did I mention I got my bike? She’s a beaut! it took a few weeks to get in but she was worth the wait! I can’t wait to hit the trails with Craig now that we both have EMTB (electric mountain bikes). It’s a Specialized (the brand name) Levo Turbo Comp. She cost a pretty penny but Craig and I are already dreaming of the trips we will take this Summer!

My health journey has not only changed my eating habits, but Carver and Gannon are getting in their fair share of nutrients as well! I’ve been mixing them up some protein shakes with packed with chia seeds, probiotics, frozen cauliflower, fruit, sometimes cashew butter, all the good stuff and Carver really loves it as you can see!

I fill out this little weekly board to keep Craig and the boys on track every week – and then when I go to fill in the new week I have a little giggle at how much my “plans” have changed. It’s a good outline but it rarely ever plays out how I write it down!

My old reliable hot tools 1″ curling iron finally gave out on me – I’ve had this same curling iron since HIGH SCHOOL! I took it into Sally’s Beauty Supply to get a new one exactly like it – that’s how you know it’s good!

I’ve gotten a ton of messages about Gannon – he is doing SO MUCH BETTER after the second round of botox – I’m not sure what was different this time around but he’s back to his usual self! Unfortunately, we got a letter in the mail that said his botox isn’t covered (it was in July) unless he has had an unsuccessful myotomy or myectomy (essentially they cut the internal anus to make it larger) which is all bull – the standard conservative treatment for achalasia is botox so I’m sure it will be covered but that will be a battle I’m sure. We are still (ugh) waiting on genetic testing. On December 21st they said the results WILL BE IN in a week (deep breath) which is fine but also super annoying that we haven’t heard anything.

As I was typing this blog post, I realized I have a TON more to tell you guys and share with you all so I’m breaking it into two blog posts – I’ll post again tomorrow with part TWO of the Friedman Family update 🙂

So glad that Gannon is doing better and good luck with the insurance battle that lies ahead. I’m so glad that your bike came in and hopefully you can take ride in the neighborhood to try it out before the snow buries ya’ll in snow.
