Friday Night with the Friedmans and the Friedmans!

We had SO MUCH FUN the other night when my mother-in-law Debbie and father-in-law Kevin stopped over for supper!

Kevin and Debbie live about an hour away from us but they are still very active in our lives and see the boys pretty regularly. Kevin works at school in maintenance and Debbie works with adults who can’t live on their own. They also own farm land and are crop farmers.

Part of their property was actually hit by a tornado this year and they had some storm damage.

They stopped over on Friday while Craig was still at work. Debbie brought over Halloween coloring pages for the boys. We chatted awhile, had a beer until Craig got home and we went out to our favorite bar – Riverside. You can read more about why I love Riverside here: I Love this Bar: Riverside

They have AWESOME specials on Friday nights – the best prime rib I’ve ever had! They also have a cod special which is great too. It was so busy but we didn’t mind a little wait because we had great company.

We all played Carver’s favorite card game while we waited – garbage. It is a great card game to play with kids – Carver LOVES it and he picked up on it right away. They play it at daycare too. Carver has been playing for months now and he’s only 5 so if you’ve got kiddos around that age, it’s so fun and great for anywhere there might be a long wait. Carver has gone on to teach his great-grandma Dee Dee too! Here is a link to learn how to play if you’re interested!

Gannon loves to play at the pool table, he will take the white ball and drop it in the holes the entire time and be totally content. Gannon brought his tiny New Holland tractor and John Deere combine to the bar (he brings those two EVERYWHERE with him). As we were getting ready to leave, a nearby table pointed out the Gannon’s combine was on the floor. I jokingly said “there should be a New Holland tractor to go with it!” Gannon burst into hysterics, ran over to the pool table and said “TRACTOR TRACTOR!” Oh shit…

Gannon stuck his tractor into the pool table tunnels. Craig got his flash light out and was trying to see if he could see it. Lo and behold, there it was, jammed back as far as it could go. Craig could NOT get it out We struggled for a few minutes until Craig concluded that he couldn’t get it, his hands were too big. CARVER TO THE RESCUE! Carver reached as far back as he could and got the tractor – and sure enough the white ball came right behind it. The table who pointed out the combine all clapped and cheered for Carver – it was entertainment for everyone! HA!

Overall, we had a GREAT time with Kevin and Debbie. They love the boys so so much. They live right along my way to work so they often watch the boys – especially on my weekends. They keep them overnight and take them farming. So proud to have them in our village!

That’s all I have for today! Thanks for reading!!!
