Hey guys! I wanted to give an Etsy shop update!
The cross stitch pre order went AWESOME! I’m so excited to get these orders out next week! We are playing a bit of a guessing game with baby #3 coming any day now but rest assured, all orders will ship out before October!

After the “stitch more worry less” design was a huge success on the heather navy v-neck, Mom and I sat down and came up with a quilting version – sew more worry less because I KNOW you all love v-necks!
We are also working on a design for a different audience I haven’t made a shirt for yet, FABRIC COLLECTORS! Mom explained that these people are a whole different kind of audience that need some love 🙂 I’m trying to think of a catchy phrase, I’ve got the design/graphics down but I’d love some suggestions in the comments…fabric collector? Fabric addict? What do you identify as?
These new designs are hopefully still coming out this Fall, maybe late October but will ship out before Black Friday. With baby on the way, I’ll be putting more time into my Etsy shop on maternity leave, I even signed up for a local vendor fair/craft show. I used to attend vendor fairs when I sold antiques with my mom and dad in 2018 but I quickly found it was NOT for me. I decided with a little extra time on my hands on maternity leave, maybe I’d give it another go.
(PS check out my super cute post office runners!) 🙂
Stationary has been selling like CRAZY! Mom and I did a huge restock, I know I say that all the time but it kept selling out faster than I could keep it in stock after my feature in Quilters World (which I knew was coming) and my feature in American Patchwork and Quilting (which was a total shock!) I have 100+ sets of stationary ready to ship and HOPING that will hold me off until Christmas!

I had one very loyal customer (Hey Traci!) purchase some notepads from the stationary set to give away to people who were coming to her quilting retreat in October! I’m always up to arrange something like that, just shoot me an email at thepinkshoelaces@gmail.com and I’d be happy to arrange something special for your quilt guild or quilt retreat! Maybe even help customize one of my designs to create a shirt for your group? I’m all ears!

All this to say, I’d love some feedback. What are you guys looking for? More V-necks? Hoodies? Holiday themed shirts? Long sleeves? Tell me about your dream shirt you’d love to see in the shop! What’s your favorite color to wear? What color is an absolute NO! Should I reprint a design I’ve already got in the shop? Tell me what you’re looking to buy for your quilter friend or family member for Christmas! I’m all ears and excited to serve you all who have been so supportive of my business over the past 18 months!

Scrapaholic ?
I like crew necks and long sleeve sometimes too.
I like the green of your hiking shirt and all the colors you have used so far.
Good luck with everything!
Karen
May I make a gentle correction? Paper products used for correspondence is spelled “stationery”. To remain still is to be “stationary”. I taught myself this rule by remembering “letter” contains an “e” as does “stationery”. I know not everyone will notice or care; but your Etsy business is growing; and I think your professional image is enhanced by careful communication.
Congratulations on your new, creative products.

Oh my gosh! I had no idea!! Thank you so much for letting me know!!!
I like to use the word curator when referring to my fabric collection. It sounds a bit less crazy than hoarder!
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to the realization that short-sleeve shirts are not a good look for me! I’d love to see some with 3/4-length sleeves (I’m short, my arms are short – long sleeves are usually too long). As for necklines – v-necks are fine, as are crew necks. I’d love to see more colors in the less-bright range – sage green, gray blue, gray, brick red, etc. Your shirts are really cute and I’m looking forward to getting some of your quilter versions! And congrats on the upcoming little one
Hi Kalissa,
First, I would like to say I really enjoy reading yours and your Mom’s blogs. Several years ago, it was very popular to be colonized. I’m a spring, and it seems that is the season that has the least amount of clothes in those colors. Kelly green, a certain purple, yellow, navy and several others. This website https://www.whowhatwear.com/spring-color-trends-2022/slide27 shows what those colors are. It really does make a difference to wear the right colors. Thanks for your consideration on this. I ordered one of your earlier shirts in blue.
I would still like a v neck in the Less Bitchin more stitchin shirt. My kids say I need one!!
