I’m totally still in shock over how well Saturday’s sale went! I had 60+ orders to package and they still keep coming in! I’m so thankful for my customers for supporting me! The boys get SO EXCITED whenever an order comes through on my phone, Gannon was “helping” me package while Carver was at vacation bible school. It’s really a family effort.
I sincerely apologize, if you have ordered from me in the past, you know that each package is very carefully color coordinated with a handwritten thank you. On Sunday morning when I went to package all the orders, there were hardly any poly mailers, no tissue paper, and I was totally out of thank you cards, and I had to get 60 orders ready before I left for work at 5:30 to stay on my timeline!
Mom to the rescue! She’s got some FUNKY colored mailers and tissue paper so I’ve got some INTERESTING packages heading out in the mail this week! My new mailers should be in by Thursday and I’ll be back to my professional self. I figured you’d rather get your shirts SOONER in some BRIGHT PURPLE packages without a thank you note than later all looking perfect. Mom told me not to worry about it but I still like to try and do my best work.
Craig and I had WAY too much fun on Saturday. Ya’ll it was COLD – it didn’t even hit 70 degrees in Iowa. Of course that’s the day we were invited to a big tubing party. We tried convincing them to reschedule but they were persistent. It was so cloudy and cold but actually, after a few drinks, the water was GREAT and we had SO MUCH FUN! Who would have thought I would have gotten a TERRIBLE sunburn when the sun wasn’t even out? YIKES! I’m sore today! We also remembered that we aren’t 21 anymore and can’t bounce back as quickly as we used to. Overall, it was a great day with some great friends. Shout out to Craig’s parents for watching the boys so we could have some adult time.
This week is a busy week – on top of finishing up orders, it’s the county fair, the boys have an eye doctor checkup, they get their haircut, Carver has vacation bible school, we have a birthday party on Saturday.
Some people had mentioned that their comments aren’t posting – I have that fixed now! Thanks for letting me know!

Sounds like some much-needed adult time with Craig!! Cool but fun!! I love the purple mailers!! Too bad you were out of my size when I got the news of your new stock…I’ll try to be more vigilant so I can get another shirt – the fabric is so awesome and soft right from the package!! BTW, I love the size of the font on your blog now – super easy to read with my glasses!!! Thanks!!
