Some things are just worth investing in. If you know me, you know I don’t do beauty or skin care reviews. But this is worth mentioning especially after the incident I had last week…

Influencer after influencer has been suggesting this specific brand of deodorant so I thought I’d give it a try. This was about 2 years ago when I started using Primally Pure deodorant. I looked it up to be sure and my first order was in December of 2020 so I mean it when I say I’ve used this product for two years!

I didn’t realize how much I loved their deodorant until I was away for work and I had to use some of my old kind of deodorant in my overnight bag. I didn’t think much of it until the next day. DANG my armpits HURT, literally hurt so bad, they still do a week later! I used to get this pain and think it was just a swollen lymph node or something but now that I know that’s not normal and I haven’t had this pain in 2 years, I realize what a difference switching to all natural deodorant can make!

Now I’ve never been a heavy sweater so I can’t really attest to that but I do know that I don’t have any stink, I don’t have any sweat spots, it doesn’t stain my clothes, and I don’t have any pain. I feel much better using non toxic and natural deodorant. I’m always a little nervous trying out “natural” products because I don’t feel like they work as well but this one really works!

I’ve only stuck with the blue tansy scent but they have other scents, like citrus + vanilla and charcoal. There have been reports of a sort of “detox” phase when you first switch from “cheap” deodorant to natural deodorant where you sweat a little more to essentially detox your armpits so do be aware of that. I think that’s what causes all of my pain when I tried my old deodorant, it acted more as a sealant keeping all the toxins in because it really just felt like clogged/swollen sweat glands!

I’m not great with all the science stuff as to why this is better for you or not. I can only testify to what I’ve experienced. If you want a more scientific explanantion, I would check out their website for those details. I also know many “clean” and “crunchy” influencers who are big into anti-chemical and anti-toxins all use this deodorant.

This is a product I do actually subscribe to, I get 2 – 2.5 ounces of the Blue Tansy deodorant delivered every 6 months. I really only apply it after I get out of the shower and that’s enough to last me until I shower again!

I’ve tried their skin care line, it’s okay, I ended up breaking out from it and I’ve since found another skin care line I’m LOVING and trialing that I hope I’ll share with you soon. I do still love their spray hand sanitizer and their everything spray, I’ll link to those here:
